ReplyDeleteYou can get a work permit for Canada if you first find a job in Canada. The other way is to come to Canada on Study Permit (to actually study) and then you can start working after 6 months. There are some programs in which study and work can be done side by side by dedicating 50% of your time to each. These study - work programs are for a minimum of 1 year. Once you find a job then your paperwork is processed for Labor Certification. Once that is done the paperwork is sent to you so that you can go to Canadian Embassy for Visa Interview. If you are to come under the Study - Work Program then you will first come to Canada on Study Permit and then after you have reached Canada you should preferably apply for the Study Permit. Hi,
ReplyDeleteHow can I find a job in Canada? I am in Hospitality field.
Could you Please suggest me some websites through which I can start searching the job.
Is there any way by which I can register myself for job to the Canadian Embassy based in India & once registered, I would get to know about the vacancies in Canada.
ReplyDeleteThanks
We can really not comment on the work permit options. We do have several candidates who have completed programs like J1 visa in USA and they join the study-work programs in Canada. These programs are for one year. Initially you apply for student permit along with a temporary resident visa and then once you reach Canada, you can apply for work permit. You can usually get the work permit in about 3 months.
